The fourth-annual Berea Celtic Festival begins Thursday afternoon and will showcase Irish and Scottish culture through the weekend.
It will feature traditional Celtic music and dancing by a variety of artists, from local talent to a singer from the Emerald Isle itself.
The Russel Action Folk Center will host Irish dancing Friday at 8 p.m. A range of activities Saturday begins at 11 a.m. with Celtic music at the farmer’s market.
Sunday morning, musicians will gather at the Main Street Cafe for music and breakfast before a Celtic service at Union Church.
The Berea branch of the Madison County Library will show Celtic-themed videos Thursday and Friday.
Many activities are free, but tickets events that charge admission are available Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Berea Center for the Arts.
