Fun With the Arts after-school arts classes are now underway

RICHMOND — Classes have begun but registration continues for the outstanding “Fun With the Arts” after-school classes for students in grades 1-5.

Classes began Aug. 19, but students may register anytime during the semester. The program follows the Madison County Schools schedule.

Students receive a snack followed by supervised homework time at 3 p.m. Classes are taught 3:30-5 p.m. Parent pick-up is 5-5:15 p.m.

This tuition-based program includes these classes:

• Piano • Guitar

• Pottery • Drama

• Dream • Doodle and Draw

• Drawing Like the Masters

• Animals and Art

• The Art of Science

• Young Chef’s Academy

• Art Around the World

• Crafty Kids.

Classes are taught by experts in their field.

Classes are conducted five days per week at three hub schools: Glenn Marshall, White Hall, and Shannon Johnson and on Wednesdays at Kingston.

Transportation is provided to one of the hub schools from any Madison County public school.

Students from St. Mark, Model, or home-schooled students are encouraged to enroll as well but must furnish their own transportation.
